Co-parenting calendar for life across two homes

A pickup time should not depend on finding the right text message. Keep your parenting schedule and child-related events together, with a separate calendar for each co-parenting arrangement.

A shared schedule with the details that matter

A useful co-parenting calendar answers more than “whose day is it?” It should also make the start and end time, the child involved and the purpose of an event clear. CoParentOS puts care events alongside the messages, expenses and documents for that arrangement, so the calendar is part of the wider family record.

Use the existing calendar to view a month, open a day and create an event. Select the relevant child, enter the agreed time and review the time zone before saving. If a school appointment changes, update the event instead of leaving competing versions scattered across messages.

What to put in your calendar

  • Agreed parenting-time blocks, including the actual start and finish.
  • School activities, appointments and other child-related commitments.
  • Holiday dates once the relevant arrangements have been agreed.
  • A clear event title that tells the other parent what the entry represents.

For example, “School pickup — Friday 3:15 pm” is more useful than “Kids Friday.” When a time is only a suggestion, discuss it as a proposal rather than presenting it as an agreed change. A calendar entry is an organisational record, not evidence that the other parent agreed to it.

More than one co-parenting arrangement?

Switch arrangements within the same account. The calendar for the children you share with one co-parent stays separate from the calendar for another arrangement. A co-parent does not gain access to your other family’s events simply because you belong to both.

This page describes the calendar within each arrangement. It does not promise a live combined calendar across all arrangements. See blended-family support for how the separation works.

Keep a copy outside the app

Calendar export lets you download the selected arrangement’s events as an ICS file. Treat that file as a copy: it is not a promise of automatic two-way Google Calendar or Apple Calendar syncing. Check the current schedule in CoParentOS before relying on an older export.

Common questions

Can I start before my co-parent joins?

Yes. You can organise your own records first and invite your co-parent later. Shared participation requires the other parent to join; the app cannot make them accept a schedule.

Is this a free custody calendar?

CoParentOS is a paid subscription service with a seven-day free trial requiring a card. Normal billing starts after the trial unless cancelled. Compare the current plans before choosing it over a basic shared calendar.

Will it choose the right custody schedule for us?

No. Use the schedule appropriate to your existing arrangements. CoParentOS helps you organise it; it does not decide parenting time or replace professional advice.
