Built around your children

Start organising co-parenting before your co-parent joins

You can start putting your own records in order without waiting for another parent to choose the same app.

Start with what you can organise yourself

CoParentOS lets you begin with your own account and invite your co-parent later. You can use the workspace to organise schedules, record expenses, keep documents and write private notes within your arrangement.

That can be useful when you are moving information out of scattered emails, trying a new system before discussing it, or simply need a consistent place for your own records. Start with current practical information rather than importing years of material you have not reviewed.

Be clear about what solo use cannot do

An account does not create participation by somebody who has not joined. Your record of a cost is not the other parent’s approval. Your proposed calendar entry is not their agreement. A private note is your account of events, not a statement from both parents.

Shared messaging, in-app decisions and recipient acknowledgements need the relevant parent to participate. Do not use another person’s identity to fill in the missing side of a workflow.

A manageable first session

  1. Create your account and select your plan or trial.
  2. Set up the arrangement and add the relevant children.
  3. Enter the next few agreed dates rather than rebuilding the entire past.
  4. Add a small set of useful documents with clear names.
  5. Record outstanding expenses with their original amounts and receipts.
  6. Decide whether and when to invite your co-parent.

If you manage several arrangements, keep their records separate from the beginning. It is easier to select the correct family before uploading than to untangle a mixed archive later.

Invite when you are ready

The invitation flow lets the recipient review which arrangement they are joining. An existing CoParentOS user can join another arrangement without abandoning their original one. A covered subscription can include your direct co-parents in the arrangements they share with you.

For a practical introduction, explain what you want to use the app for: perhaps the next month’s schedule and shared school costs. Starting with a clear, limited purpose can be easier to discuss than asking someone to move every conversation at once.

Common questions

Is solo use free forever?

No. CoParentOS is a subscription service. The standard trial is seven days, requires a card and converts to normal billing unless cancelled before it ends. The demo is available to explore before starting.

Can the app force the other parent to join?

No. It cannot compel participation or replace an existing communication requirement.

Can I keep notes private after they join?

Private notes remain author-only. Other record types have their own visibility, so check what you are creating rather than assuming everything entered while solo stays private after an invitation is accepted.
