Data handling & retention

Updated 6 October 2026 · Australian web launch policy

Records and sharing

CoParentOS stores account details and the family records you add, including expenses, messages, calendar entries and files. Shared household records and private notes have different visibility rules. Check the audience before adding sensitive information. Invited professionals may have additional, scoped access.

Read the privacy policy for data-use and request information and the administrative access explanation for the limits of household privacy.

Exports

Dashboard exports cover the records available to your account and the export type you select. They are not necessarily a complete copy of every stored field. Check each file and any missing-file or integrity warnings before relying on an export.

For a broader data-access request, contact support. Do not send identity documents or family records unless a secure process has been agreed.

Retention and deletion

After a trial or subscription expires, existing records remain readable and exportable within your account’s household and privacy permissions. Paid changes are restricted after paid access and any applicable seven-day payment grace period end. Cancelling renewal retains paid access until the paid-through date, unless the subscription ends earlier.

At launch, subscription expiry alone does not trigger a 90-day read/export cutoff, cold storage or deletion. We do not promise a fixed seven-year archive or storage until a child turns 25. A co-parent’s private records remain private.

Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate requests. Contact support to discuss deletion or access, including records shared with another parent. Any future change to this access policy will be communicated before it takes effect under our Terms.

Keep your own copies of records you need. We do not guarantee lifetime storage or that every export contains everything needed for a particular purpose.

Account access in exceptional circumstances

Contact support if a parent cannot manage their account. A family relationship or legacy-contact nomination alone should not be treated as automatic permission to access another person’s private records. Requests require review.

Security concerns

Use Support to report unexpected access or a suspected incident. Include a brief description and time, without passwords, tokens or unnecessary private content.
