Parenting plan organiser for day-to-day arrangements

Keep the plan you are working on, the discussion around it and its recorded versions in the same family workspace.

Make the working plan easier to find

Parenting arrangements involve more than a weekly calendar. Parents may need to record school routines, communication expectations, holidays and how proposed changes will be discussed. CoParentOS provides a parenting-plan workflow with sections, comments and signing controls inside the relevant arrangement.

Use it to organise what you are working through. A section heading alone is not an agreement: write the practical detail, identify unresolved questions and allow the other parent to review the current version.

Plan around specific situations

For a school pickup arrangement, useful detail might include the usual collection time, where collection happens and how a change is requested. For holidays, distinguish dates still being discussed from the dates both parents have agreed.

Keep the wording understandable to the people who will use it. “We will communicate better” is difficult to apply. “We will send non-urgent school updates in the app” is a clearer operational starting point, subject to whatever arrangements already apply to your family.

Sections, comments and versions

The existing plan builder lets parents work with individual sections and comments. Signing is tied to the selected arrangement and the relevant version. That avoids counting an unrelated co-parent toward completion of a plan simply because one parent belongs to more than one family space.

Keep earlier records when an arrangement changes. Do not assume that editing a new working document changes an existing order or agreement. Store the relevant source documents alongside your practical records so you can tell them apart.

Separate plans for separate arrangements

If you share children with two different co-parents, each arrangement can have its own plan. One arrangement’s comments, children and signatures do not belong in the other’s document. Use the family selector before creating or reviewing a plan.

Common questions

Does an in-app signature make the plan legally binding?

Do not assume so. CoParentOS records a workflow; legal effect depends on your location and circumstances. Obtain qualified advice when you need an enforceable document or a change to existing legal arrangements.

Is this a universal legal template?

No. The organiser helps structure and retain your records. Regional resources or templates are not a substitute for checking the requirements that apply to you.

Can I keep an existing plan rather than write a new one?

You can use the document workspace to organise existing files. Keep a clear distinction between an uploaded source document and a new working plan. See the document organiser.
